EI Organization and Themes

The EI has organized CU-Boulder’s energy research activities under three themes:

• Discovery - discovery and development of inexpensive and environmentally acceptable energy alternatives and strategies;
• Entrepreneurship - the means by which innovative research can be commercialized rapidly for public benefit;
• Transformation - systemic changes in the social, economic, legal, and political forces and institutions that influence energy use.
